Autism, cerebral palsy, and Down syndrome and would like to share their own lived experience with others.
Show Name: *
Let’s Plant Houses: Family Stories focused on Neurodiversity & IDD for Caregivers, Parents & Professionals
Show Description: *
My name is Wendy Ernzen and I’m the host of Let’s Plant Houses. As the mother of an adult daughter with profound autism and bipolar disorder, I know how rare and meaningful it is to have spaces where real family stories can be heard, honored, and understood. That is exactly what this podcast offers.
Each episode features a 30-minute conversation with family members of loved ones with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) including autism, cerebral palsy, and Down syndrome. Guests know every question ahead of time, there are no surprises or “gotcha” moments, and the entire conversation is designed to celebrate your lived experience.
People choose to appear on the show because it gives them a safe place to tell their story, highlight the wisdom they’ve gained, and help others feel less alone. Some guests simply share their family’s journey. Others talk about the businesses they’ve created, the books they’ve written, or the advocacy and projects inspired by their lived experience. Every story matters, and listeners genuinely appreciate the honesty, joy, and resilience that guests bring.
The podcast currently ranks in the top 50 percent of podcasts and releases new episodes every two weeks. Episodes appear on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and my website. It is audio only.
I also promote each episode across my social channels and newsletter. I hope guests will also share their episode with their own networks so even more families can benefit from hearing it. I am now scheduling for 2026.
If this feels like a good fit, I would be truly honored to have a conversation with you.

We do not encourage this but if you charge for interviews, ask for co-promotions, request "donations", or have other expectations of your guests, what are they and what do guests get back? [If you charge guests for interviews or anything else you MUST disclose it here.] *
I do not charge guests to be on the show because Let’s Plant Houses is a public benefit. I create this podcast because the more stories we share, the more families feel seen, supported, and connected to the resources they need. In return, I kindly ask that guests share their episode with their own networks such as newsletters, social channels, email lists, or any place their community gathers so more people can hear the conversation. After your episode airs, you will receive a simple promotional email with all the links, platforms, and mentions of your episode, which makes sharing easy.
