Sylvester Boyd Jr. is an expert in history, race relations, an author, movie/TV extra, and a business & motivational speaker.

Mr. Boyd provides a unique perspective to key life issues across cultures and ethnicities based on his life experiences in world travel and knowledge of world history and race relations in America.

For over 20 years, he owned/operated an advertising business. Being semi-retired, he's worked as a substitute teacher for Chicago Public Schools and currently enjoys working as a background actor in a variety of movies and TV series, such as The Dilemma, Transformers 3, Batman, Empire, Chicago PD, Shameless, Chicago Med/Fire and many others. His is also a motivational speaker - having spoken at various churches, businesses and colleges and been interviewed on many radio and TV programs.

As a historian and expert in race relations, Mr. Boyd has authored three volumes in a books series - The Road from Money. The series is adapted from family stories - featuring his aunt beginning in 1927 in Money, Mississippi. He has woven in history and the times of Jim Crow in the South, the Great Migration to the north; civil rights, plus music and historical events of the times. Topics include: Race Relations in America (Black Lives Matter), Business, Education, American and world/military history and world culture and geography. He also provides a unique insight into the world of the TV/film industry. In addition, as a substitute teacher he can speak to the issues facing today's youth.
